The computer got stuck on lock screen with spinning circle during wake up and kicks me back to lock screen after minutes. After clicking the screen, it is supposed to raise the clock or other widgets and show the login screen. Instead, it would darken the screen and do nothing. You had to restart the computer to get to the desktop. I am not sure that this is what made the fast startup option appear, but it's worth a shot.
